With us, customers get to know true Italiana Contemporanea pizzas, where only premium ingredients are used for baking. When you visit Pizza Popolare you are halfway to Italy, you get at least the same experience through true Italian high quality pizzas. To complete your experience, we use certified high-quality ingredients from well-known Italian production regions.

We import our raw materials ourselves. They are DOP certified and originate from well-known production regions in Italy, in particular the Campania region. Mozzarella di buffalo cheese is one of them. It is known to be rich in fat and protein and is fragrant with a milky freshness. The buffalo roam the plains around Paestum, Salerno and Caserta outside Naples, where hundreds of small producers make this award-winning mozzarella cheese, considered the ultimate delicacy. Another key ingredient of the pizza is the San Marzano tomatoes, which are grown in the Sarno Valley in the rich soil of Mount Vesuvius. They are thick, sweet and fleshy, with fewer seeds than other tomato varieties. The sauce from San Marzano tomatoes is deep, flavorful and low in acidity, they are considered the best of all tomatoes for pizza making and they are the only dish for Pizza Italiana Contemporanea.

*DOP is an abbreviation for Denominazione di Origine Protetta ("Protected Designation of Origin"). DOP is an Italian state-recognized certification that guarantees that products are produced using traditional ingredients and methods.
